Thirteen-Level UXE-Type Inverter With 12-Band Hysteresis Current Control Employing PSO Based PI Controller

This work presents hysteresis control applied to UXE-type inverter topology with a PI (Proportional Integral) controller, where the gains are derived by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The investigated UXE can generate thirteen-level output voltage waveform, which results in lower switching losses. It boost 1.5 times input DC source voltage. Satisfactory operation is ensured employing twelve-band current control. tuning of controller required for closed-loop achieved nature-inspired PSO algorithm. A comparative analysis also performed after obtaining applying and conventional Ziegler Nichols (ZN) methods. effectiveness strategy verified MATLAB Simulink further validated experiment using TMS320F28379D Typhoon Hardware Loop Technology.
